The Empress Theatre, a proud Alberta Historic Resource, has maintained its position as a prominent centre for the arts and entertainment in southern Alberta for more than a century. It shows current movies year round, offers live theatre performances and drama camps for children and is a place to explore a diverse range of Canadian musical talent. The theatre is rented regularly for meetings, social events, workshops, birthday parties, musicals and dance shows. 

Maintaining this aging building and ensuring continual and quality operation in Fort Macleod, we must ask the southern Alberta community for financial support as ticket and popcorn sales do not cover the expenses alone.
