A Stan Rogers Tribute by Nathan Rogers
| Wednesday, February 22, 2012 - 8:00 pm | Centre Stage Series |
Centre Stage Subscription Series (includes all six concerts) on sale July 2, 2011 Wednesday, February 22, 2012 Thursday, February 23, 2012 It must be difficult to follow in his father's footsteps when father is the legendary Canadian singer and songwriter, the late Stan Rogers, but Nathan Rogers is well on his way to achieving recognition in his own right. He's inherited much of Stan's talent - the powerful voice and a marvellous way with words - but he's very much his own man, as this CD, his second, well illustrates. Most of the songs are his own, but there is one from his father, "The Puddler's Tale", a traditional ballad, "Willie O' Winsbury" and, for fans of the genre, a bit of Mongolian throat singing! (JM - Folk Diary Dec 1, 2009) Centre Stage Subscription Packages: $140.00 each Single Concert Tickets: $32.00 each (note pricing correction, single ticket price was listed at $30.00, the correct price is $32.00) Visit: http://www.nathanrogers.ca/home.html |
